How do I register a new horse?
+
It’s easy. You have the option to Add a Horse from the members page – make sure you log in so you can access all the features of the Registry.
Why can I edit some of the items on my horse's treatment record and not others?
+
You will only be able to edit the items you have added. If the treatment has been added by your veterinarian you will be able to view it, but will not be able to edit it.
Why does my horse's record show items that I have not added?
+
These are vaccinations or treatments that your veterinarian has added to ensure your horse's record is up-to-date.
How do I download my Hendra vaccination certificates?
+
You can download your certificate on your horse’s profile under the Hendra Virus tab.
Why can't I add a Hendra or Herpes virus vaccination?
+
These vaccinations can only be administered by a veterinarian, therefore only your veterinarian can enter the details. If your vet has entered a vaccination or treatment you will be able to view it.
Why did I not receive my Hendra certificate after the first vaccination?
+
The certificate is not issued until after the second vaccination, as two doses are required to establish immunity.
What do I do if I have sold one of my horses?
+
You can record transfer of ownership in the horse's profile page. This will remove the horse from your records and the new owner will receive an email to transfer the record to their profile.
I have removed a horse from my records: how can I get their details back?
+
When a horse's record has been removed, you will not be able to retrieve it, so please do not delete horse records that you may require in the future.
I am not receiving vaccination reminders: what can I do?
+
If you are not receiving reminders, there could be a number of reasons.
- Make sure your reminders are not going to your junk mail folder: they may be automatically deleted from your computer.
- Make sure your reminders are not being rejected as spam. As reminder emails are automated and tend to have the same subject line as well as similar file sizes, your email program may consider them spam and block the emails.
- Check that you have supplied us with the correct email address. However, if you are receiving certificates from us, this will not be the reason that you are not receiving reminders. Check that your email inbox is not full: reminders can't be delivered to full inboxes.
- It may be that too much time has passed since a reminder was due. We may have sent the reminder at the right time, but if it went to junk mail, for example, you may not have noticed it at the time. We send reminders only at set times (on the 1st and 15th of the month), so you may have missed out.
- Your veterinarian may not have forgotten to enter a previous vaccination: if a vaccination was not entered at the time of administration, we can't send you a reminder when the next dose is due.
- Check that your veterinarian ticked the Send Reminders box when they entered the vaccination details.
- To ensure you get your vaccination reminders on time, add contact@health4horses.com.au to your email contacts.
